I can’t sleep and I’m about to finish this bottle of wine (Gnarly Head Cab).  The television just aired a GM commercial which compared MPG of Chevy cars versus Honda’s, then pokes fun of the fact that Honda produces lawn mowers.  It annoyed me.  Why?  Because Honda produces engines for autos, lawn mowers, snow blowers, jet skis, motorcycles, ATVs, generators and God only knows what else.  If it uses petrol, Honda makes an engine for it.  And you know what, it probably is at the top of every class.  Continue reading →

It looks official.  Terrell Owens is going to be a Buffalo Bill for at least a year.  I’m really not sure on how to feel about it entirely.  To be honest, I never thought Bill’s management would be willing to bring in a controversial player of T.O.’s ilk but even the Bill’s can’t isolate themselves from the spreading culture of super talented idiots.  Take Marshawn Lynch, their young starting running back barely popping his NFL cherry and already twice in trouble with the law…First a hit and run, and more recently guilty of carrying what else, a concealed firearm.

I must say, I think I’ve convinced myself that I like this signing.  From strictly a business marketing position, it’s a brilliant move. Continue reading →

Okay, so what about Major League Baseball?  Why weren’t they there next to A-Rod while he apologized?  I want to know why the league knew that back in 2003, 104 players tested positive for steroids but did nothing to put a stop to it (yeah I know it’s about money).  How long before the other 103 names get released?  Does the league or the player’s union think that the public won’t find out with enough prying?

• I really like the Hyundai Genesis in both sedan and coupe versions.  Kudos to Hyundai in moving closer to forming their own identity.
• ABC’s Lost has lost me.  The acting is horrible as the main characters take on different traits off of the island BUT the one bright spot is the Asian guy Ken Leung who plays Miles.  He gets me laughing at his sarcasm and cynicism and plays the asshole role very well.

You won’t be afraid to drop trou anywhere at anytime if you have this product.

I guess the business of pipes and fittings no longer holds Joe The Plumber captive.  He will now don a War Correspondent’s cap spending 10 days in Israel covering the conflict.  I guess he wants to let Israel’s “Average Joes’ share their story.”.  I bet he’ll probably find more “Average Davids” than Joes.

• We’re so ready for Bush to leave office that Obama’s daughters first day at a new school is newsworthy.
• Secret Service agents are so trained in taking a bullet for the man that a flying shoe would cause an agent to not even twitch.
• I’ve yet to eat a candy cane off of our Christmas tree.
• They talk about where the money will come from to rebuild our highway infrastructure.  Can’t they get it from where they usually do – thin air?  If the country is in financial debt, where did all that bailout money come from?
• Bill Clinton ruined it for Hillary and George Bush ruined it for Jeb.
• When retailers go out of business people flock in looking for bargains.  GM should ax the Buick brand and blowout their inventories at historically low prices.  Warranties will still be backed by Chevy or Pontiac dealers.  Then move all Buick efforts to China where it actually succeeds.  Now you’ve gotten rid of dead weight and helped put money into the economy at the same time.
