T.O. to B.LO

It looks official.  Terrell Owens is going to be a Buffalo Bill for at least a year.  I’m really not sure on how to feel about it entirely.  To be honest, I never thought Bill’s management would be willing to bring in a controversial player of T.O.’s ilk but even the Bill’s can’t isolate themselves from the spreading culture of super talented idiots.  Take Marshawn Lynch, their young starting running back barely popping his NFL cherry and already twice in trouble with the law…First a hit and run, and more recently guilty of carrying what else, a concealed firearm.

I must say, I think I’ve convinced myself that I like this signing.  From strictly a business marketing position, it’s a brilliant move.

  1. You have a franchise on the fritz that is rumored to be a possible candidate for relocating to Toronto or L.A.
  2. A shrinking market base which has been displaced to all over the U.S. in search of good paying jobs.
  3. The team’s under achievements and lack of a high profile star rarely nets any prime-time network coverage.
  4. Last year T.O.’s jersey was a top 10 seller.

Off the field, the signing seems very palatable but the main question is how this will affect the locker room and the team’s performance on the field.  How will management deal with going from obscurity to having their phones ringing off the hook?  How will the Bill’s young quarterback handle a strong personality like T.O. in huddle when well established men before him haven’t been able to do so?  We’ll see.

Frankly speaking, I’ve always hated T.O.   He has a chance to become a mentor to the young Bill’s and show them what it takes to become a winning team, but I have zero faith in T.O. doing so.  Imagine if he actually did – it would single handily erase his years of selfishness, drama, and retardation. To be honest, I wouldn’t be surprised if he doesn’t make it the entire season with the Bills.  But, if he can save my team from moving to L.A.?  I’ll deal with it.  Bring on the popcorn.

I think T.O. has B.O., him going to Buffalo, seems like a NO.GO, Fo Sho.

I just remember the good old days of the Buffalo Bills. When they had the coach that always chewed gum. He had strong jaw muscles and their roster was packed with what I would consider the best offensive lineup ever. Jim The White Man Kelly, Andre Speed Reed, James Coughin Lofton, and Thurman Touchin Thomas. Not to mention my all time favorite defenseback in Bruce The Juice Smith.

They had all the skills without the hype. See back then players were just players, they didnt want to be anything else. They played to be the best and win chamionships. Nowadays athletes are getting second chances, offered plea agreements and given hundreds of millions of dollars. Sadly, a lot of atheletes are desired because not of their playing abilities but because of their celebrity status.

T.O. can go to Buffalo, I am kind of excited to see how he will contribute to their game. It’s definitely an uprade that will benefit every part of their offensive game. That being said, it is not known why alot of ball clubs dislike him. I understand why he would call Jeff Garcia a homo when he was with the Forty Niners or why he left the Eagles but how could he not get along with Tony Romo, the guy was dating Jessica Simpson. (Ill leave that for your interpretation).

In the end, I think that T.O. is inspiring to be that spoiled only child and that is why I think that Buffalo will be a good fit for him because it is friggin cold there and no-one is media driven.

Even though the local media isn’t crazy like the Daily News Sports section, it’s the local people that are crazy since they have nothing to talk about but the Bills or the Sabres.

I dislike him because when he feels like he’s not getting the ball he goes to the media first instead of going to his teammates and coaches. It’s bush-league and the equivalent of being a tattletale. In the real world dudes get beat up for doing that. If he actually wants to win rings, then he hasn’t done a good enough job of convincing me.

I didn’t expect the Bill’s to win the Super Bowl before T.O. nor do I expect them to win it with him. But I think it’s great that America is talking about it. The team has a hard time selling corporate suites, ads and spots so this is going to help exponentially.

Do you remember when “Desperate Housewives” first came out, it was a huge success. All the mothers loved that shit, it was the next best thing to “Dallas”. Anyways, T.O. went out with Nicolette Sheridan at that time. Im not sure how long but in all the celebrity magazines, he was spotted with her. The guy is craving for attention.

Remember when he had the media over to record his workout training? Funny shit. I don’t want to say he is classless because it is more funny than anything.

I think the Bills bought him for more than his skills, that’s if his skills has anything to do with it. It is merely like you said a marketing move. The guy will sell. I like to think that the Yankees brought over an expiring Hideki Matsui, not that he sucked but I will admit it that the prime of his career was 10 years past the Yankees. They brought him over to expand the fan base of the Yankees. Not that they need the help but it did provide an extra incentive for Japanese tourist to stop over to Yankee stadium. Konichiwa.

I remembered when that happened – it was hilarious. The problem with Matsui was that his head was too big…Literally, it was too big.

Yo did I tell you, I worked on a project with George Steinbrenners previous bodyguard. He wore all his championship rings on one hand and had a photo album in his wallet. It was one of those tri-fold wallets and was probably three inches thick. Imagine carrying that around all day in your back pocket.

Yeah that’s when you need to go digital.

  7. Narin says:

Nah, i dont think the guy could go digital. He looked like he grew up in the Bronx when the Italians had control. His hair was slicked back and it looked like he was friends with Uncle Tony’s little brother Nick who was friend’s with Frank from upstairs.

He handled the security part of our project.
