Think You Can Multitask?

If you think you can, try your hand at rally driving.  Watch Ken Block manipulate shifts, throttle, brake, hand brake, and steering, all while processing information from his navigator regarding terrain and upcoming turns…

Oh, and try not to hit a tree.

Moving forward with or without your foot

I tend to opine about the auto industry a lot more often than anything else on my blog.  I’m not sure why but I guess it does fascinate me to a certain degree.  The latest about Toyota’s woes sucked me back into the automotive world in search of the truth.

On the surface it looks pretty simple.  Certain Toyota models include a defect that poses a threat to driver and passenger safety – a life endangering threat at that.  Normally, the dealership replaces the defective part(s), you sign on the dotted line, and off you go.  Any further crisis averted.  Obviously, things haven’t worked out that way for either party and we have a full blown Tiger Woods situation.  I haven’t read much on the latest braking problem on the Prius or the steering problem with the Corolla, so this primarily is about the sudden acceleration issue. NBC, I Couldn’t Agree More…

In an age where we have information at our fingertips, NBC gives us re-runs of the Olympics.  Normally I wouldn’t have a problem with the tape delay but it is impossible in 2010 to not read or hear news as it happens.  I couldn’t agree more with this writer…

First of all, the Olympics are in Vancouver, which is in Canada, which is attached to the United States. (EDITOR’S NOTE: A Binghamton basketball player reading this just got three credits for Remedial Geography.) It just feels absurd to delay coverage from Vancouver.

Kernel Porkers

I’ve been enjoying Food Wishes and stumbled upon this recipe that’s super simple and awesome to eat.  Would of been great with a beer!

My Attempt At Pho

I spent the day Saturday preparing pho and this is what I got…

Day After Storm 2

I was fortunate my car, which was parked on the street, was not hit by a plow truck during the storm.  Unfortunately, 2 different neighborhood cars did get hit.  I understand city workers were doing their job last night and were probably overworked but, this is not normal.  This is the 3rd (some might say 4th) storm and 2 out of 3 storms a car on our street has gotten hit.  That’s a terrible average.

Here’s some photos from today…

Bugs and Fixes

Every once in awhile I would notice broken images or, JavaScript errors (when using Internet Explorer), but tonight I think I figured out the culprit.  Originally, this site’s domain was boryb.com.  When I purchased borybuth.com, I pointed it to the same server boryb.com was using.  However, when I changed my CMS to use borybuth.com moving forward, a lot of my image paths were still using boryb.com in the URL.  I didn’t think this was too much of problem as I was forwarding boryb.com to borybuth.com, but apparently it was.

I guess if you guys run into any site issues, please let me know so I can fix it.  Thanks…

Lots of Snow = Lots of Shoveling

I snapped this with my phone and was standing elevated above the street so the photo doesn’t really represent the depth of the snow too well…
